I'm working on my wife email in Outlook 2003 in XP and having problems. She had a no-longer-active Exchange account set up in Outlook that I deleted. She also had a Gmail Hosted POP3 account set up that remain. When I deleted the Exchange account, it made me choose somewhere for the Gmail Hosted email to go, and I chose to create a new "Personal Folders" .pst file. Afterward, I imported all of her backed up emails into the inbox. Now, something odd is happening. New mail arrives, but it doesn't show up in the inbox. If I click on the little "new mail" envelope icon notification, suddenly I see the inbox with the new mail in it, but if I click on the inbox in my folder structure, it's not there. It's almost like there are 2 inboxes now, but I can only get to one if I click on a new mail notification. The one in the folder structure has all her imported emails in it, but nothing new. Also, it's not sending. She's "sent" emails, and she said it seemed weird because it never hit her outbox before sending. Now I'm finding that it never sent. There's nothing in the "sent items" folder. What's going on here?
