  1. Hi, I'm not sure why, but when a user on our domain logs onto a computer for the first time, their wallpaper does not display correctly. Maybe the top 5% of the wallpaper shows at the top of the screen, but the rest is black. It is fixed after pressing F5, so it is not a major issue. However I will be deploying a new SOE in a few days and this is going to make me look bad! Is there a reason why this is happening. I have set the wallpaper on the default user profile, however I think that it is also being pushed out by group policy. Can someone save me? Jimmy
  2. Hey guys, I’m making our organisations new Windows XP image. Everything is going beautifully with custom GUI’s, auto naming to serial number, and various other hurdles already completed. Because it is not going to be delivered to any customers, the SOE build process goes though Factory mode, and then mini-setup. However, I am having one minor complication in the Sysprep Factory mode stage: I made a user account called “COMPUTER\SOE” which I want the system to log on to for the Factory stage. The SOE accounts profile is setup so that just about everything is locked down through the registry. I have disabled desktop, system tray, start menu, etc. It is not meant to be bullet proof, but it is meant to discourage remote staff from messing with the system while it sets up. The problem is that instead of logging into the SOE account it logs into Administrator. In WINBOM.INI [Factory] section I have set the Username and Password attributes to the correct username and password for SOE. I have tried the username SOE, and COMPUTER\SOE. I’ve tried with and without quotes. I have also set the field AuditAdminAutoLogon (I think that’s what it was called) to NO. I’m out of ideas! Jimmy
