Hello everyone, I am coming to you as I am lost on this. I looked and read a lot of stuff about my problem but I never found anything that could solve my problem. I have several print servers (Win 2003) with a large amount of printer queue. I am trying to find a way to change some printers from working with a PCL5 driver and want them to work the new driver PCL6 that I received. The Windows resource kit tools, the Take Command-line Control over WMI did not worked on this and I am a really newbie on programming, so I hope you will be able to easily help me. Let’s say : When you have 10 network printers and want to upgrade the driver from PS (Postscript) version 1.0 to PS 2.0, its easy doing it, if to upgrade one printer, all printers will automatically be updated by the system. Now you want to do the same thing from PCL5 to PCL6, this automatic upgrade won’t work as PCL6 is more a new way of standard than an update. So if you have 100 printer queues you will have to do it one by one manually. I hope you will be able to help me and bring me back on the right side of the force. Thanks in advance for your help.
