I am putting together a new system consisting of a corsair 620w power supply, asus p5b deluxe mb, intel c2d 6600, corsair ram, samsung dvd (sata), seagate hard drive(sata) and evga 8800gts video card. I tried to instal my windows xp pro corporate onto the computer but it turned out not to be bootable. I then downloaded the boot disks from windows onto floppies and took my floppy drive from my old system and used that. Then one of the dll files would not copy onto the hard drive.(?) I then thought that maybe I needed service pack 2, so I then slipstreamed my xp disk and sp2 and downloaded new floppies for xp with sp2. Now it appears to copy everything but when it is done copying, I get a msg saying that the computer will reboot and to take out any floppies that I may have in. I do that and all the computer will do is go to the ASUS image (press delete to go to bios) and then shut down. It will start up again and then shut down. Over and over again. I ran memtest and the ram showed no errors. I did a test of the hard drive via seagate and that came back clean. I have no idea what to do next. By the way I also loaded the mb drivers via the f6 command. Help. Not sure if it is a bad disk, bad mb or just bad karma? Thanks for any help. rich
