  1. Can't really imagine what difference that could make, like I said it's been installed from the same CD on three other computers and works fine. And of course the 7.01 update was downloaded and installed on the other computers as well.
  2. Speedz is right, I like Nero but I won't try a video cd with i again. I tried to put two AVI files on two VCD's and after about 31/2 hours of encoding each on two different computer's it produced two VCD's with mirror image text, an upside down picture and no sound!
  3. I Have a very strange problem with XP pro SP1 and a 2gig Celeron. I can not run Photoshop 7 without getting runtime C++ errors. I've reinstalled DirectX 8.1, Tried several different video cards and Drivers. I even installed a new hard drive with only Windows XP Pro SP1 and Photoshop 7. Nothing works. I can run 3D programs such as Poser 5, Vue D"Esprit 4, and Bryce with no problems including rendering. But I can't get Photoshop to work. I have the same copy of Photoshop running on three other computers with no problem. It also ran on this Computer until I went from a 1gig Celeron to a P4 2gig Celeron. Both chips are on ECS motherboards with VIA chipsets. The Change over was really no problem except for Photoshop. Anyone have any idea's? I had no luck even with a new hard drive and a clean install. It really seems like it would have to be a hardware issue, but everything else works fine so I'm hoping there's a software solution.
  4. Well, it's good to hear someone has heard of a problem something like it before. I also posted this in another forum and I believe everyone there think's I'm nut's. Of course You can tell from Their response's that They really didn't comprehend what I said, or believe that I'd ever even copied CD before.
  5. Discovered an odd thing about SP1, there's something that it doe's by way of Windows Media Player that prevent's You from copying or imaging Copyrighted media. On three different computers it prevented Clone CD, Nero, and WinIso from imaging or copying game CD's. It caused them give an error claiming they couldn't read from the source CD because it was corrupt. After I went to add and remove Windows component's and removed, or denied access to media player everything was back to normal. Anyone else had this problem yet?? It also made no difference whether it was Media Player 8 or 9.
  6. Had the same problem, and I went to the SP1 uninstall folder in windows to uninstall SP1. After the uninstall everything returned to normal. I also put SP1 on one new install of XP Corporate and it installed perfectly on a new bare installation
