  1. Thank for the response. After a break away from PC, I came back and started all over. Following your reply, it all started falling into place, was able to do the Intel INF chipset no problem. Played with Intel Matrix storage driver and was able to figure that out. Now i have one more question on the storage driver. I am not going to need raid, but will be using AHCI instead. When I chose iaahci.inf and select AHCI for my particular controller I get Mode-Text & Type-HDC and when I redo the same but select iastor.inf then I get Mode-Text & Type-SCSI. Now I suspect I need the Hdc and not the SCSI. All Hd's and Dvdd's will be sata and I will be looking to use the hot plug option supported by AHCI. ?
  2. I am a first time user and need alittle guidance. I am looking to bypass the F6 thing(sata dvd drive) on OS load(no floppy drive), so slipstreaming appears to be my answer. I have found and figured out how to extract files from Intels Iata621_env.exe for Ich7r Ahci support. When I come to the driver screen in nLite I am asked to install an inf. file. Here is where I am uncertain of what to insert here. What I have to chose from are Ich7core, Ich7usb, and Ich7Ide inf. files in folder xp of extract. Also in the xp folder is another folder named sp with another file named Ich7id2.inf. Which one do I use ? Now all these files have maching files with cat. extentions, do I need to use any of these? If it sound like I am lost, it's becouse I am.
