  1. My Advice

    continue with XP SP2, this, is SUPER SPEED with your prgs

    Vista its very BAD for user, it do the user to be 1 SLAVE in YOUR PC!

    (remember this)

    very games dont run

    My SUPER ADVICE

    WAIT MORE TIME

    My pc:

    1 Gb RAM

    EVGA nVIDIA 6200 - 256 Mb

    300 Gb HD

    PENTIUM 2.4 Ghz

    OR

    DO IT

    1 - WITH ONE HD OR TWO

    2 - INSTALL XP (FIRST) - CHOISE THE HD OR PARTITION THAT YOU DESIRE

    3 - UPDATE YOUR XP - IF NEED

    4 - INSTALL VISTA (SECOND) - CHOISE THE HD OR PARTITION THAT YOU DESIRE

    5 - NOW, YOU HAVE DUAL BOOT FOR TWO SYSTEM

    6 - ENJOY, BE HAPPY WITH "THE GOOD" AND "THE BAD", NOW, BE YOU "THE UGLY"

    HI HIHIHIHIHIHIHI

  2. ABOUT BOOT.INI DEFINITIONS

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/102873

    My Advice:

    1 - INstall all windows in HD separate, but, install 1 hd only!

    a ) Install HD XP games, install windows ( note ) UNINSTALL HD FROM PC

    b ) Install HD XP app, install windows ( note ) UNINSTALL HD FROM PC

    ALL WILL BE DRIVE C (default)

    c ) install all HD, but, drive C will be hd EMPTY for install VISTA (as drive C)

    Maybe, this help!

    For test, experiment use VMWare for simulation install with 3 HD (install only basic system each one)

    OR, try change parameters from boot.ini of XPs intallation

    Boot.ini for XP default

    ;

    ;Warning: Boot.ini is used on Windows XP and earlier operating systems.

    ;Warning: Use BCDEDIT.exe to modify Windows Vista boot options.

    ;

    [boot loader]

    timeout=30

    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

    [operating systems]

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /FASTDETECT /NoExecute=OptIn

    +

    multi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /FASTDETECT /NoExecute=OptIn

    the value = disk in system

    For SCSI disks

    [boot loader]

    timeout=30

    Default= scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\winnt

    [operating systems]

    scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\winnt="Windows NT"

    IF you use multi disk boot (IDE, EIDE, ESDI, SCCI) use MULTI(0)

    EXAMPLE:

    [boot loader]

    timeout=30

    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

    [operating systems]

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003"

  3. IF YOU SYSTEM (BIOS) NOT PERMIT MORE BOOT, TRY:

    1 - RESET YOUR BIOS IN MAINBOARD

    2 - USE YOUR FLASH BIOS FOR UPDATE OR RE-INSTALL YOUR BIOS OLDER

    IF YOUR PROBLEM BE ONLY WITH HD, TRY USE OTHER FOR TEST

    NOTHING.....

    CONTACT MICROSOFT OR

    process the microsoft for moral and material damages

  4. If you installed the Vista in drive D, your problem is "the reference to drive install, or, the reference to drive "D" when installing!

    This can help you, but...

    Always install the system older before, and, the newer after! So, the newer will know to act due to the situation

    try my advice: (manual mode)

    1 - Install ONLY 1o HD and INSTALL the system that you desire

    2 - Install ONLY 2o HD and INSTALL the system that you desire

    3 - Set the HD with VISTA as Drive C and start your pc

    or

    1 - 2 hd in pc

    2 - install XP in drive D

    3 - install Vista in drive C

    Note: anyway, you'll have problem with the DRIVE REFERENCE to install any system

    NEW BOOT.INI in VISTA SYSTEM

    SEE the command BCDEDIT for new boot.ini system in Vista (or F1 in DESKTOP AREA)

    Commands that controling Starting System
