  1. I don't really think it is the router. Like I said earlier, I also have a linux machine attached to this router. I rarely reboot linux and it always maintains an internet connection.
  2. Router is a DLink DI-524 I will try to release the IP like you said. thanks.
  3. I am running WinXP SP2 and it is hard wired to a router. The router is attached to a cable modem. When I start this PC I have a good internet connection. I can use it all day. But when I step away for a while the connection drops. I disable, re-enable the lan connection and still I can not connect to the internet. The only way I have been able to reconnect is reboot. I can see that the router is connected with the admin webpage. I also have a linux box connected to this router and it does not loose the connection. Please help me get my wife off my back by solving the connection problem on her PC. Thanks in advance.
