  1. That sounds intertesting! I have since turned off all EBCDIC fonts, under regional settings, but that did not help
  2. Under XP the character sort order has changed from Win 95/98/Me/NT/2000. Previously this had the order 0,1,..,9,A,B,C... This is now reversed so that A,B,C comes before 0,1,2.. I assume this is EBCDIC rather than ASCII ?? Anyway it drives me round the bend as I have an archive system based on hexadecimal version numbers, so files are now listed in the wrong order, if sort by name. To solve this I currently have an extra Win2000 PC on the side, which I use to view directories on my XP machine. Please tell me that there is a configuration option somewhere to make XP behave like Win 95/98/Me/NT/2000 for directory sorting! help much appreciated
