Hi all, I'm new to this list, ended up here after finding the MSFN unattened document via google.. Basically this is Day 7, working on the perfect Master CD, actually i got a new pc, and needed to install it fast and easy, "phew, would have had it installed already" But anyway, since i need to do a master deploy for the office, i decided to get it done once and for all Anyway, it all started with that well documented page, which lead me deeper, and deeper, into this forum, i spent about 3 days, reading as much as i can about all the different options, but while reading, i was also trying along the way, Finaly after day 6, i managed to found XPCREATE by greenmachine, which is a wonderfull starter, to get a slipstream cd "actually i tried it many differnet ways" from different sites, where i had to DL all the necessay hotfixes, Now, it was so easy, that greenmachine's site does it all for u...and i don't have to worry about al the various types of HF's I also, tried GOSH's REDUCED cd, "Nice doc, gosh", also tumble on the article, about the best installation, the INSTALL.inf "99% perfect cd" i love that one and the way AronXP does it in his article.. Well, after all those readings, and tryings, we ended up on DAY 7, and still my PC is not installed, but i'm not mad, darn happy with all the infor i gathered here, iknow when i'm done with my master cd, i won't have to use MS update site to often, geesh, why didn't i find this forum long time (good for my installs, when no internet access is available) But anyway, after so much information was gather, i finally realise, that i was working around, and around, using different ideas from different postings, actually finding out, that some ideas, compliment the other, while some, don't have nothing to do with the other.. it would be nice if a document can be place, informing new users, where to start, which article compliments each other etc. example green machine's is nice place to start with the slipstreaming (very automatic) or RoyalBox's gosh's site would be next to cut the boot copy down by 150mb jdeboeck site's for further cutting down on size and finally aronxp's guide to finally put it all together or my 99% perfect bootdisk. Seeing that DoctorFrog had so much nice suggestions, about the documentation, would be nice, if he would volunteer to put the Master Document together.. anyway i would like to thank one and all involved, it was so well put together, after reading all this info, i have no questions, cause as i found one problem, some one already had a fix, keep up the good work... actually i was thinking on putting some of my problems founded on this site, but didn't wasted my time, cause when i did a search, someone already had a solution.. eg DirectX9, and WMP9
