I just downloaded and install vLite and upon first open I was prompted to install WAIK. I click the install button and was taken to a Microsoft site. I downloaded the WAIK iso file and extracted it onto a DVD. I then ran the DVD install to install the MS WAIK program. When vLite still didn't work I turned to these forum pages and found a previoius post telling me to copy the wingapi.dll and the inf file to the x86 vlite folder. I found these files but my vlite folder did not have an x86 folder so I copied the entire x86 folder form the WAIK folder to the vlite folder. that still didn't work so I read further and discoverd that the vlite x86 folder needed to be in the winfltr folder which I also didn't have so I created one and then I move the entire x86 folder that came from the WAIK install into the vlite\wimfltr folder and then opened vlite again. I clicked the install button and the install started but then soon afterwards I got a installation failed message. So this is why I'm posting. I need help to get this installed correctly.
