Hi I have just tried to do that same thing and had the same problem. Although I have a free hotmail account, I have been checking it on OE5/6 for some time and was informed that the move to prevent new free accounts from being checked in OE or outlook would not affect my or other existing hotmail free accounts currently using OE. I installed Outlook 2003 on my home PC and have been successfully able to check my homail through that installation. I have tried to do the same on my work PC to do the same and I get the constant ID popup (which I've only experienced previously when the password or username are wrong). I've checked the username and password and they're fine. The only difference is that my work Outlook also works with an exchange server and that I am logged onto Windows Live Messanger at work which I thought might be a problem? I have successfully set up IMAP folders for my other addresses on the work PC without any problems. Can you help? Matt
