hi guys! i already searched the forum but found nothing usefull for my following problem... i just installed a fresh XP Pro(prepatched with sp1) with SP2 and all updates the updater gives me. now if i install the driver for the AC97 onboard sound i get a BSOD with following stop: STOP 0x7E (0xC05, 0xB858F46D, 0xF8981A54, 0xF8981750) in portcls.sys B858F46D base at B858F000 i allready installed XP a second time. this time without sp2 --> same BSOD sp2 and no updates--> BSOD nvidia graphic and intel chipsetdriver installed North Bridge Intel Springdale i865PE South Bridge Intel 82801EB ICH5 Audio-Controllertyp Intel 82801EB(M) ICH5 need any more info? p.s. please excuse my spelling. didn't use my english quite a while...
