  1. LU1814: LiveUpdate could not retrieve the catalog file of available Symantec product and component updates. Please verify that you are able to connect to the Internet and run LiveUpdate again. I've gone through the steps on most message boards. When I go to Symantec and try to do run a program that is supposed to help, the computer freezes. The .dll file that can be changed does not appear to be on my computer. My firewall settings (which are turned off) cannot be changed. The options are all grey. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm totally fed up with this whole thing.
