I don't know why it's not working, maybe I missed a step, but I have made like 3 coasters trying to get the mass storage drivers I need to load from the disc for the F6 method (necessary because I do not have a floppy drive). Now I got it to work before, but I do not remember if there was an additional step or if it is possibly a conflict with the new version of nLite. What I am doing is setting up my nLite then slipstreaming the driver packs in using method 1 (as method 2 only seems to load the drivers after a successful installation). I have tried this in reverse as well (slipstreaming the driver packs then performing the nlite stuff). Both failed to load any of the $OEM$ drivers.

I am looking into integrating programs to be installed with my unattended disc but I am having difficulty finding the information I need. I looked at WPI because I thought it did what I wanted but the "manual" didn't help me at all.
Is there a way I can easily take like program setup files (like self installing exes or msis) and integrate them into my disc. So far the programs that I want to integrate are:
Firefox
Thunderbird
Trillian
**** NFO Viewer
eMule Plus
Azureus
and iTunes.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Automated tools would be best (if available; why do it the hard way when there's a simple one, ya know?) but I am comfortable working with computers enough that I can manually do it as well.

remove 'manual install and upgrade' (can still boot from cd fine) 45mb
remove 'msn explorer' (total crap) 19mb
remove 'internet games' 11mb
remove languages and keyboards that you dont need -about 70mb ish
you could just keep everything and burn it to dvd instead using nlite..
i remove loads from the disc, my xp disc is about 100mb after removing things, and still has full functionality for me
If I could trim it to 100MB then I could add the programs I want no problem... Hmm... The most I was getting it down to was ~580mb and then with the programs it was just shy of 800mb and wouldn't fit on a single CD. So far that's as low as I have gotten my image file. I haven't tried removing keyboards, but I think I know what one to keep and as for languages, are these files needed for unicode characters like japanese and hebrew? If not then I can remove all of them no problem; I am just worried about japanese characters showing up as boxes instead of the actual script.
I take it there is no way to remove the DME though as none of them show up anywhere in Nlite (that WOULD remove a ton of space)

copy cd1 contents into C:\xpmce
copy cd2 contents into C:\xpmce
use nlite to remove a bit and then it'll fit on a cd
makeiso in nlite then burn the iso image with imgburn or nero's burn image option
welcome to the forums
What I remove (What I _CAN_ remove, as nlite doesn't seem to let me remove the Digital Media Enhancements crap (dancer etc)) doesn't shave off a whole lot, and I wanted to add special drivers so I can actually install windows (need the raid drivers on a CD since I do not have a floppy drive) and I wanted to add programs to be installed automatically so I wouldn't have to scour the web getting all my normal apps.

Ok, so I found this unattended windows stuff, and I think it's pretty awesome, I have some ideas (though I could use some help) but I have one major thing to deal with:
I backed up all my stuff and reformatted my drives, not taking into account that my MCE2005 install disc was a single DVD (not 2 discs) I forgot to make the disc first, as the computer I reformatted is the one with my DVD burner in it . I am looking for either a way to break this 1 dvd into 2 CDs or get the installation files to just run from an external drive.

I want to re do my desktop completely here. I am using a MCE disc that I got for my laptop, and I want to strip my current partitions, installing Windows on its own partition with program files on another and media and downloads on another (I have 2 500GB SATAs set on RAID0).
I can't use Partition Magic because I want to erase the parition it's installed to, so if I made a bootable disc that was fully automated, would I still have the options to manually create partitions (at least 2 durring installation anyway; one for Windows itself and the other for Program Files)?

As a matter of fact I was using the newest base version. I couldn't remember the correct term for what I wanted to find which is probably why I never found it when I searched XD thanks I'll try the new beta (or an older version) and see if one of those works
