  1. No i dont have LOTS of money, I paid about 1k in parts... I got my SCSI disks for free so that was nice... I OCed the cpu with the Intel Desktop Control Center, which only works on like 4 boards... I worked with an Intel software engineer that did work on it when it was in alpha, he was able to show me how to get a better OC with my D915PBL & the software from windows... So i OC ONLY as i need it, and for 20 - 30 minutes thats not bad because i can really let the cpu hit 70c and Zones 1/2 60c... Any further and the system will slow down the clock and shut down if it cannot cool its self... (Trust me if i had money i would have gone for a P4 660 and 4GB of ram, and SATA drives...) Anyways thanks buletov, I thought about trying that but i figured there must be a better way... Well thats what i will try...
  2. Well i was messing off today and i tried doing an install with 1 batch like i would normally and it takes 47m 12s When i run 2 at the same time with different apps in the batch then it takes 29m 55s When i run 3 it takes 26m 31s... When i run 4 it keeps my system at full load for 22m 03s Now i understand that these figures will be dependant on what else is running at the time but i still would like to run more than 1 process out of a time thats installing... What Im thinking is i have my main batch start 2 other batch files... My main batch will run all my tweaks, delete files, install, clean up... the other 2 will also install... Unless there is a better way then thats how i will do it..
  3. Ok, I have a 3.4Ghz P4 OCed to 3.8Ghz and have 2GBs of ram... So i am never at load ever... When i do my apps install in my batch file which installs 60+ Apps/games it takes along time (An hour and half or so) (When I'm at a LAN party i dont want to wait that long if something happens)... So i want to know if its possible to have it do 2 or more install at the same time? I know this system can handle it easy... Can it be done... if so how?
  4. Well this will have to work untill ive got the cash to buy a OEM CD thank you... Atleast i have a use for the 5 Lic's i got from #9 Software today
  5. nope its ligit, i have the holographic cd with COA and manual... i am building myself another computer and i didnt want to buy another 2000 CD/Key because that runs about $220... I can buy OEM Keys for about $50 and i never saw anything about microsoft saying that i cannot use OEM keys with a retail cd... Anyways im just trying to save some cash here... AND i am unwilling to use my 2000 key on 2 computers so if there isnt a way i guess i could always buy a OEM cd right... I think i quilfy... I do build systems and sell them... only about 1 a month but dont think that matters...
  6. Is there a way to make my windows 2000 retail cd work with a OEM Lic? I think i remember there being something you can put in your winnt.sif to do this...
