Hey folks allow me to first apologize for my ignorance, but I am relatively new to world of Windows Server having spent the majority of my IT Career as a programmer and then later a Unix/OS X Sys Admin. I'm going to be connecting a XServe RAID to a Windows Server 2003 box via a QLogic SANbox FC SW so that one 2TB RAID 5 LUN is viewable to the Windows Box. After this my ultimate goal is to map 3 drives/shares from the server to the nodes. So my questions are this.. Can I now take my, at this point unformatted volume, and partition it into 3 drives and share those out to the nodes? OR Can I create one partition and 3 folders sharing those folders out as mapped drives to the clients? (Essentially trying to not have to limit my partition sizes as they may grow/shrink at different rates) Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to provide some insight!
