I have problems opening office files outside the office applications. Ie open a excel file in explorer or from the desktop or from outlook takes minutes, files that from within excel opens in a sec. The same applies to all office files, but not files like pdfs and txt. I have tested files within our network and files solely on my harddisk, also files made available offline and files not available offline on my laptop with the same result, indicating that is probably not a network problem. I'm running XP Prof SP2 and Office 2003 SP2 for small businesses on my Thinkpad Z60m.
