  1. Hello, Does anyone know of an easy way to autologin after a RIS install as a domain user rather than as a local user. I have tried inserting it into the registry, but for some reason it doesn't seem to pick it up at first boot. any input would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. Hello, I have tried the two ways that I have found here to integrate hotfixes into RIS images but when the image is deployed, I still have to perform almost 50 Windows Update. I have tried using nLite, and using the /integrate:x:\risi386folder switch, but neither has worked. Am I missing something or is this really that flakey? Why wouldn't M$ make this easier? SO ANNOYING!!!!
  3. Thank you for that Ctrl-X. That helps me out more than I realized. I am new to the RIS scene, and didn't know there were multiple files that get processed during the setup. This will come in very handy. Anyone know how to specify the login username on the autologon?
  4. I have a question regarding the changing of the admin username through GPO. The username is changed as soon as the install is done, and when I try to login using autologon, it tries to use "Administrator" rather than "root" for the login name. How can I specify in the ristndrd.sif, that the username is actually root rather than Administrator? Another question is, I see a lot of talk about cmdlines.txt is processed at T-12, and stuff like that, can someone explain what T-x is? and when these occur? thank you.
  5. sorry to bring back a basicly dead thread, but I am really looking for an answer to this. I have a Windows 2003 server running RIS which works great, unless there is an intel video card on the client computer. When the intel card is present, the prompt for monitor driver happens. I downloaded the WindowsXP-KB883667-x86-enu.exe file posted above, but I cannot integrate it because I already have SP2 integrated in the build. Does anyone have any ideas? Or does anyone have a how-to on integrating the WindowsXP-KB883667-x86-enu.exe, maybe I missed something.
