  2. At my company we image machines using a DVD that boots into Win PE and then uses a WIM to image. I upgraded my WIM to SP3 (using a VM) and sysprepped. Now it appears that USB devices are not able to be used due to multiple instances of "unknown device" for the USB root hub. When I try to uninstall the devices and let the computer rescan, I get an error that the hardware could not be installed because the data is invalid. Unfortunately, when the machine first boots up there is no New Device popups so I had no reason to look into Device Manager and now we have a lot of those machines in the field. Looking online I've seen a lot of similar problems but no working solutions. Using an older image (w/ SP2) and then later upgrading to SP3 does not duplicate the problem. Any ideas?
