Hello, SVCHOST.EXE keep making a connection to msgr.dlservice.microsoft.com in various IPs remote addresses. Everytime i try to rebooting my PC, the SVCHOST.EXE is making those connection again with different remote IP address. but still said the Host From HTTP msgr.dlservice.microsoft.com I think this is not an update, in a normal update we see Host From download.windowsupdate.com or update.microsoft.com Automatic Update service is disabled, no applications running, it's clean from any unwanted process, just my firewall (outpost.exe) runs. I try to stop BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service), yes it's stop for a while, then the BITS service just auto start again and SVCHOST.EXE is making those connection again. Well, i try to right click on SVCHOST.EXE to create rules. Wow, so this is a fake remote address, the truth SVCHOST.EXE is going to remote host 219.83.126.8 This connection is annoying & distrubing my little bandwidth. Now bytes recieve is in 16Mb and keep going bigger. Is anyone there with the same problems and solutions?

Ok then, maybe i'll keep those $hf_mig$ folders until XP SP3 released in 2008. So the reason why Remove Hotfix Backup not delete them all, but leave some kind of those $ folders is because Remove Hotfix Backup is missed some Hotfix likes Windows Live Messenger, IE 7, Office 2007, or .NET Framework. Ok, i'll try CCleaner for seeking another garbage files in my C:\ drive to make more space. Thanks in advance.

"Compress drive to save disk space" checkbox is gone, it just indexing service. So the file folder that i copy-paste into that drive is not auto compress anymore. How to fix without reformating the drive? Is there some registry patch to fix this? Regards

RESOLVED !!! hello MSFN !!! special thanks to my friends mr. cluberti for your hardwork for help me day after day and stay with me. you don't have to work with it (notepad dmp code) anymore. after a month i confused about this, now i've resolve the problem. first, i read carefully from your last post. said that i have something another DEP. then i make assesment list: something self-defense/proactive-defense/anti-leak component is like my kaspersky 6.0 or outpost firewall 4.0. something risk-of-corrupt component is like my o&o defrag (idle/screensaver defrag). step by step i go into safe mode, uninstalling my outpost firewall 4.0.916.570 (beta/RC) yes it is, resolved after entering normal windows. so the posibility result is: 1. the outpost firewall 4.0.916.570 itself (beta/RC -with anti leak component) 2. the riskware that came from the outpost firewall 4.0.916.570 setup (kaspersky detected) 3. the confilct driver between outpost firewall 4.0.916.570 with socketshield 1.1.0 0013 i still respect to the agnitum outpost firewall, it was a great firewall. ps: i suggest don't download outpost firewall 4.0.916.570 from not-officially site like softpedia. kaspersky detected a riskware: trojan generic at temp folder used to setup outpost firewall 4.0.916.570 (this is out of topic so don't make any judgement). i still can't tell exactly the problem came from but the last word "RESOLVED" is make me VERY HAPPY !! best regards.

Then some little panic action -uninstalling Alcohol 120%, this will remove stpd.sys upon loading.
