  2. i made a lite version of vista basic...i must say...i'm impressed, fast installation, uses less disk space, uses a lot less memory than the original.....good work Nuhi Maybe now Vista could be considered as an alternative to XP
  3. for the system restore thing....i think this would be a good starting point: http://win2k3.msfn.org/sysrestore.htm it shows how to add system restore to windows 2003 wich also doesn't have system restore
  4. i just ran the Network Setup Wizard on the win 2003 server, i enabled file sharing and after that any workstation with win9x, 2000, xp or linux(with samba) was able to acces the shared resources.... there was no need to create new user accounts, i just kept the names of the shared resources under 12 characters in order to keep them compatible with all the win9x workstations....that was all i did for my network.....
  5. Have you tried the version of DirectX that comes with Soporific's Auto-Patcher98? Also you might want to take a look at Mdgx's topic with the unofficial updates, there are some updated directx files there...

    vista on 128MB ?

so you are saying that your Vista has adapted itself to low memory?
  13. you know, even running a fully vlited version of Vista Home on 256 Mb of RAM is hard since it only leaves about 5-7 Mb Free so running Vista on 128 Mb.....well it will run but that is it
  14. i have an old nVidia Geforce 2 video card and i was wondering if there is some software that will allow me to play new games by implementing the features from new video cards in software instead of hardware. What i am looking for is some kind of compatibility layer that will allow me to use games that need a new video card. This software is suppose to use the main processor instead of the GPU. Does something like this exists?
  15. for the recovery function i use a bootable USB hard drive wich contains a bartPE rescue system and disk images made after the system partitions of all the computers.
  16. use the "Network Setup Wizard" to configure the basic settings of your Win2003 system.
  17. Every time i type something in a web page, it crashes....every time i press the "M" key, it crashes.....it crashes at random times with a message saying that there is an eror in "corefoundation.dll". Even the beta versions of IE7 were more stable than this....toy I choose Microsoft's insecurity over Apple's instability Sorry Apple fans, but this is the truth i almost forgot, after there crashes, it complains about missing important resources and that it should be reinstalled....well i prefered to uninstall it permanently.
  18. I have installed the june 2007 update and the little june 2007 sp1 over version 1.95PR2 and i have noticed that there are 2 copies of the NUSB drivers in the hotfix folder: NUSB30 and NUSB31. Wich version of NUSB will be installed by Auto-Patcher and should i delete the old version and keep just NUSB31?

  20. Safari was designed for the Mac OS utopia, it relies on the OS for security, but the Windows world is a warzone, users and hackers are at war with eachother and hackers are hard at work finding Safari's weak spots and they already did, but well...it is still beta
