  1. I gave up on IE, though I dearly wish I knew what the glitch is. I reinstalled Firefox and configured MP11 to be recognized, which is one of the reasons I did not stay with Firefox the last time I installed it. MP seems to be the only program that is not found by Firefox assuming you have it installed already. And it still will not be recognized by Firefox if you use their plug in utility page. So I found 3 dll's that can be inserted into the MP program file which makes MP work with Firefox. Thanks to everyone who joined in here.
  2. IE, XP (MCE), or IE problem? Or web page fault? I have the described problem below on one website page only (that I know of). It is a french news website that others do not have my problem with. Below is the web page URL. http://jt.france2.fr/8h/ I do not have the following problem with any other french news web page. I am using IE6 but tried IE 7. Both browsers result in the same error(s) as follows. After trying IE7 and having the same problem I uninstalled it because IE7 is slower than IE6 and has too many bugs. If you go to that web page I would appreciate anyone's response as to how the page is displayed on your computer, which might be a clue for my problem. There is a embedded menu at the left of the web page titled "INFO" which actually does work normally. However, that left hand menu overlaps other page displays and text. A relative living in another state who uses cable (I use DSL) does not have the problem and the menu is displayed with its correct border without covering anything else on the page. When I place my mouse pointer over the areas affected by the menu overlap, the page status is "error on page", or "done but with error on page" Investigating that error in a search engine always takes me to web pages that evidently are dedicated to web page design, programming, script writing, etc. which may mean the page is not written correctly by the web designer, but I can't be sure of that yet. Edit addition: I checked the status bar when moving the mouse over the affected view area. The "error" details are LINE: 278, CHAR: 54, ERROR: UNTERMINATED CONSTANT, CODE: 0 I have two malware and virus removal programs as well as trying cookie, threats, temp files deletion but it doesn't help. Also, I have tried page sizes, text sizes, etc with no results. I have also reset internet options to default. Anyone know what might be causing this problem?
