Trying to reinstal XP(Upgrade from 98). I put it in "unallocated space", it formats it, and instals folders etc. I always get the message "This portion of the Setup complete. When computer reboots setup will continue". On rebooting the Setup just starts from scratch again, until the message above appears again etc. Never completes setup. If I choose not to reboot from CD, only a blank screen. At least I can still access my old "C" Drive. Need more space though. Next might have to buy the full XP (not upgrade). Has worked before though.

Was downloading - possibly a ZoneAlarm update - and recording at the same time. Now cannot seem to get any system sound output at all. Speakers themselves are OK. "Self-diagnosis" tests say everyhing working.Tried uninstalling/reinstalling/updating but no luck. When it does appear to be recording now the sound waves look very distorted. Any suggestions appreciated.
