Hi I have recently installed Windows XP x64 for the first time. I have found drivers for peice of hardware and everything has worked perfectly. There is only one issue. I open a word document and my mouse goes weird. Mouse clicks become extremely laggy up to 10+ seconds if I click outside of an application. I guess that any click that would be directly responded to by Windows, such as explorer, clicking on the desktop, toolbar, ect lags. To change applications I have to either wait or alt + tab between applications. The mouse appears to work fine within an application, and if I close Word everything works fine again. I use Outlook 2003 for my emails and I have had no problems with that. I have tried: 1. Patching Windows + Office 2. Reinstalling Office 2003 3. Office XP (Same problem occured). 4. Removing intellitype pro and intellipoint softare. 5. Reinstalling the dot net 2.0 framework. 6. Event viewer showed one dcom error which I have fixed. This has been occuring since installation and I could not identify the software that the GUID was associated with. 7. Registry Mechanic 8. Spyware checks ect ect while I was working out what happened. Something similar happened when copying files between two explorer windows before I patched but that hasn't happened since. I have checked and reinstalled everything that I can. The information that I have is that Office 2003 works fine on 64 bit Windows, so I am thinking my next mis-step might be a reinstallation of Windows, but I really don't want to have to do that if I can avoid it. Has anyone had a problem like this before and can help me out here?
