the story so far. scrapped nortons. F8 safe disk cleanup installed trojan hunter which found and removed - agent 100?!? Installed avg and it found. and not has on its report 'trojan horse generic. wue' 4 more trojans from the avg scan so far. One pop up on restart is. processguard, cannot open mutex2 Terminated trojan process 2496 (C:\Program Files\Common Files\{903E0C24-0BF0-1033-1202-030512200161}\Update.exe) Renamed file C:\Program Files\Common Files\{903E0C24-0BF0-1033-1202-030512200161}\Update.exe to C:\Program Files\Common Files\{903E0C24-0BF0-1033-1202-030512200161}\Update.exe.tcf Trojan cleaning finished.

Im not very good at this. when i turn on the machine it say 'windows installer loading' in a pop up box then nortons 2006 says it hasnt the fixing for it and to re-install. then them trojan boxes keep popping up from temp files and srvigh[1].exe AND srvndp[1].exe AND bgates[1].exe. In the F8 mode what do i type to re-install? Having a bottle Merlot, stressed out!

Hi guys im here out of desperation. Firstly im not the greatest at computers, ive built a little forum and have a fotopic site - my limits! I recently downloaded what nortons called a trojan horse and then i started tracking down where it was and trying to delete things, so my system is more like an old 386ibm slow as hell. In the 2 years ive had the computer up and running ive never used the master XP disc that came with the computer, simply is it an easy task OR is there an old topic here with step by step instructions? Any help welcome!! Thanks.
