  1. Thank you for your response. Since it is not legit, I won't persue it any more, but I would like to pursue the legit way of making the best CD/DVD that I can. If anyone has fresh ideas and such, feel free to message me. I appreciate all the responses and help. At least I know which way to go and which way not to go. Thank you MODS for allowing this thread. Without it, I may have been looking for something I didn't want to find. Now I have info and can search for other kinds of help here. Again, Thanks to everyone and I will try to do my part in the forums if I can on those things I know.
  2. Takeshi, thank you. Actually, again, this would be legal and for my work with all licenses. It seems you know about Super XP. Is that just for Chinese Winidows? It was about a year or so ago that I saw it and vaguely remember, but I was so impressed by it. I'm a one man team at my work supporting about 430 people. Gets tough. I'm going through the Unattend Guide, but if anyone is willing to take me under their wind and help me with this, I would greatley appreciate it. I understand a lot of people get pirated copies, but that isn't what I'm here about; I'm drowning at work and desperately looking for tools to make my job easier. I get no training on top of it. If anyone is willing to walk me through things, I would give you my Messenger or any other online chat connection. You wouldn't believe the number of walls that pop up in my pea size brain when it comes to reading instructions. One reason is I always have a question that would be in between step 1 and step 2 and I hesitate or "get stuck" there until I can understand. Anyway, just throwing up a Hail Mary.
  3. Thank you gamerhead for re-opening. Scubar, you are saying that Super XP is illegal? If so, I had no idea. I thought it might be something like nLite. If Super XP is illegal, then forget that part. I don't want to do anything illegal. The CD I was talking about would only be illegal if Super XP is illegal. Its not mine and its not being shared. Its just an installation that I saw and thought "cool". Past that, My company owns valid Windows XP Pro. We own or have licensed all of our software apps that we use. This hasn't got anything to do with warez either. My other question was answered by gamerhead (thanx), but if you have info about Super XP being illegal, please let me know so I stop asking about it. If not, I just want to know if there is a more powerful tool than nlite? I used it and get a wierd installation from it. I'm not sure where I screwed up. Cheers.
  4. Thanx. For some reason, I couldn't find this post, so I made another post slightly different. I apologize for that. I have been on several forums about this and made a boo boo. Sorry. I will study the guide. Being that I'm a very visual learner, anybody have a visual tutorial?
  5. Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm not sure if this site is related to NLite or not, but that's how I got here. I have seen a CD that was made as a custom Window XP Pro CD. I don't know how to contact the creator of the CD. I'm very new at this "Unattended" install stuff. The CD booted with 4 choices. One was complete setup. The installation looked like a normal Windows XP install, but after it finished and rebooted, it had like 7 or 8 programs installed and usable. I didn't see any secondary setup of any kind. Just wondering if I can do something like this. I saw something about Super XP 7 on the initial boot screen. At my work, I get a toshiba, IBM, or Dell in and they are different models. We have standard software that goes on all of these computers. Am I able to create a CD that, basically, I can boot from the CD and walk away, come back, and everything is loaded including software? I have Ghost images of the computers that are the same model, but every now and then, I need to do a new install. Any ideas? Much appreciated.
  6. Thanx for the info. I do understand the simple unattended install, but this is more. I think I may have found out what made it, but all the info that I found is in Chinese. Anyone here understand Chinese? Hao bu Hao? I found something about Super XP v. 7, but all my google searches return Chinese. Does Super XP sound familiar to anyone?
  7. My brother in law is Taiwanese. He sent my wife a CD/DVD (forgot which one) that was bootable. When it boots up, it has a GUI that has 4 options in Chinese: Intall Windows, Windows with programs, and 2 more options. It looks just like Windows XP installation, complete with unattend install. I thought "cool. he made an unattended install of Chinese WinXP". When it finished and booted up, it had 7 or 8 programs loaded and fully ready to run! For example, Dr. Eye which is a translating tool for English and Chinese, Microsoft Office and a few more. I never saw an installation run seperately for these programs. It seemed like a mixture of a Ghost image mixed with an unattend install. This is the only way I know how to explain it. I asked him how this CD/DVD was made and he has no idea. He got it from a friend of a friend of a friend type thing. Sorry for the long wind, but does anyone have any idea how this CD/DVD was put together? and maybe with what software/app? I work in the MIS/IT department at work. One man job. Usually, when I deploy a system, its from an image, but I often need to do a clean install from the WinXP CD. I would like to be able to create a DVD that, once the install finishes, would boot up with our most common software installed. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I know this is out there, but have no clue as to how it was made.
