I actually (hopefully) just fixed this problem by updating my computer with the “update rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005” (KB900325) on the Microsoft update page. hopefully this can help other users too.

I’m new to this so if I ask stupid questions I apologize in advance. I posted a new topic on my Windows Media Center that keeps crashing so if anyone out there knows how to lend me a little help it would be greatly appreciated. Hello again and maybe one day I can help someone else.

Windows Media Center keeps crashing on me when I insert a DVD or try to open it from the desktop. I get the message preparing crash report etc. My computer stopped prompting me to what action I would like to take when inserting a DVD also. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanx
