  1. Hi - I'm a 'system administration type' in Michigan. I work with AD, Group Policy, SAVCE, Oracle, BackupExec Windows print and file sharing, managed groups of public workstations, and a slew of smaller apps. My secondary duties include Exchange, DHCP/DNS, network/firewall, etc... I pray every night for SMS and MOM to show up at the door, but it's always out of reach Anyways - nice looking forums, professional info in my line of work. Thanks and see you around.
  2. Hello - This is my first post here, so take 'er easy please I see a *lot* of very usefull and professional information in your forums here guys, and I hope to participate. A big thanks for what I've gathered so far. Now for an ice-breaker I'll go ahead and ask a question (wink wink). What's the best/easiest/foolproof method for copying settings back and forth between two server groups in SAVCE 10? I basically have my production env and my test env, and the two shall remain completely seperate from here until the end of eternity. However, when making the move between testing and production rollout, going through my configuration notes line-by-line seems terribly inefficient... I see that HKLM\SW\Intel\Landesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion seems to contain most settings that I would want to migrate, but bashing through here might not be as productive as I'd like it to be (I see a lot of server-group specific info that would have to be trimmed too). Does anyone have a proven method for transporting these settings? TIA ...now, off to figure out the best upgrade paths to the current version and how to roll it out via GPO since SMS isn't online yet... much to do, much to do...
