Windows 7 LITE 228mb ram at idle!

I have been following the now-dead "Windows 7 + Vlite" thread here since its inception which was about the time I downloaded the popular Windows.7.Beta.Build.7000.LiTE version from the web, activated with MS Win7 key. I followed many tips given to vlite my own trial version, then install it on a second partition on my old hp510 laptop (with 512 ram) to compare to the web version running nearly perfectly at 228mb ram at idle.

I have now tried about 20 vlited versions to compare to the web W7lite and none of them hold up at all. I consistently get limited filesharing to the other 5 computers (all running Win7) here at my house, and never can get Sleep to show up in Power Options. Both of these work fine in the web Win7lite.

There is only one flaw in the 1.43gb web version which is a DLL error bug with Sticky Notes. It goes away when you simply remove System 32 "StikyNot.exe" file, taking ownership following steps found by Googling "how to delete a system 32 file." Once I did this, my ram use at idle dropped from 320mb to 228mb. It also activates with MS W7 activation keys.

Since the other thread has dwindled, maybe people can suggest fixes for vlited versions of Windows lite that will make full file sharing and Sleep work. Until then, I'm stickin with Windows7LiTE at 1.43gb using 228 ram at idle which never maxes out my 512mb ram on this old laptop used for internet browsing, word processing and WMP streaming. We also use it on an old Gateway desktop with 528 ram for internet, Quickbooks, and other Office work, and it also idles at around 50% ram and never maxes out.

WE WILL NOT HELP OR ASIST WITH WAREZ!

Could you please translate that to English? WAREZ?

I am asking about fixes for Vlite'ng Windows 7 in order to make Sleep and File Sharing work fully. This was discussed in the "Windows 7 + vlite" thread on here for many days with no problem. Is Vlite WAREZ?

Windows.7.Beta.Build.7000.LiTE

You are suggesting people use the warez build or figure out ways to fix other peoples builds.

You are also publicly admitting to using warez at your WORK. For gods sake man do you actually value your job??

Another point vLite is NOT for business or corporate use.

Thanks for the welcome. How are the sheep in Pocatello?

So whatever this "WAREZ" is you are speaking of, if it is not legit then why does my MS Win7 activation key work in it?

It is a home office which belongs to us at which we are using a copy of Win7 MS deems to activate.

If you can show me that I have done something wrong by using a LITE version of Win7 that MS activates, I would appreciate that. Otherwise why don't you go sniff someone else's breath, church lady?

Talking about a warez'ed version of Windows *and* being snarky? Banned. Good riddance.

And for those thinking we don't apply the warez rules to beta OSes, take this as a warning. If you did NOT get Windows directly from Microsoft, a licensed partner or OEM, or a legit store selling the packaged product, it's warez. Period. Discuss it here and you *will* be banned. It's my new-year's resolution.
