FortyTwo
Sorry if this doesnt belong in here.I have a new laptop with a recovery partition with Vista Premuim on it. I want to delete all partitions and create my own curom partitions for installing other oses, data etc, Is it possible to create an ISO image from the recovery partition file to create a Vista install disc so that I can then delete the recovery partition and put teh space ot better use? DigeratiPrime
hmm not sure, but i do know you could create an image backup of that partition and burn that to a disk should you need it later, and then delete the recovery partition to free space. You can try SelfImage which is free, not sure if it will "see" that partition though.http://selfimage.excelcia.org/I reccomend and use Acronis True Image, its not free but its got a lot of features, is simple to use and works well.http://www.acronis.com/
FortyTwo
But how could that image then be used to recover the system?
DigeratiPrime
well you would have to restore the imaged partition, since your objective is to free space.

EarthJim
Use Acronis True Image. It's very good and reliable product. How to recover the system?1)you can back up your files to other CD or DVD and restore the system from them OR2)you can create Acronis Secure Zone for storing backups on the computer ,from where you will restore your system then.
