azfarhusain
I have removed all network, modem, display and sound drivers. I installed it on vmware 6. every thing goes fine except vmware dont install virtual NIC drivers and give some errors about missing files while installing vmware tools.Any idea what to remain in order to vmware work properly I can integrate some drivers if some one have them seprately.I am getting these two dll errors.tpvmmon.dllprintui.dll Edited June 1, 2007 by azfarhusain
nuhi
printui.dll Printer supporttpvmmon.dll don't know. While installing VMware tools I too get only printui.dll missing even if all removed. That's not a big problem just press Ok or put that file in the Keep box or don't remove printer support. As for not working NIC drivers keep the Ethernet Drivers. Silvereyes
Another option which might work is to integrate the vmware drivers. Thisis the method I use but I don't strip all the drivers as you do.To start you will need to get the contents of the vmware tools 'CD' fromthe 'windows.iso' file in the vmware installation directory. Mount the imageusing a virtual CD drive (Daemon Tools etc.) or extract the contents to adirectory.Select 'Multiple driver folder', then the virtual CD drive or the top leveldirectory as appropriate. Select the appropriate drivers for your O/S andproceed as normal. This will also allow you to set display/network/etc. parameters which needthe vmware drivers. Also, it will not interfere with the subsequence installation of vmware tools.
