Maleko
At the moment I have a Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard with a 3700+ Athlon64I play a lot of games and want to upgrade to dual core, i can get old of some 939 socket dual core cpus, and have looked at the Operton 175 CPU.What are the Opterons like for gaming rigs? good bad?Cause i cant afford a full system upgrade atm, this is why im looking at just a CPU upgrade...would an Opteron be a good cheap way of upgrading to dual core (as i cont find many decent athlon 939 dual cores) or wait and save for a new AM2 socket rig? puntoMX
I would sell what you have now and go for that AM2 "upgrade". Most people will tell you to go with iNTEL now but I would go for AMD as well when money is important; Good Socket 775 mobos are way more expensive then the AM2 mobos and AMD CPUs dropped also in price...
