Skraelos
Hi. First of all I want you to excuse me for my terrible english - I can't have enough real practice ("real" = smth more than reading books and watching movies only in English )I'm really stuck. You know, there's an audio-devices manufacturer "Realtek", they provide only 1 Vista driver for their integrated audio AC97. They say it's WHQL, but I've tried to open .cat file... Well, the security catalog viewer tells me that the signature is invalid. :\I've tried to integrate this driver among with some other WHQL drivers using vLite. Please notice that this was the ONLY non-WHQL driver in my installation.I've got the "unsigned driver"-prompting smth like 40 times. :\ So, the questions are:1) Is there a way to disable security checks right from vLite or just editing autounattended.xml (maybe there is somthing similar to "bcdedit /set nointegritychecks on")?2) Is there a way to trick this checker, adding some fake .cat signature?3) Why could the signature be invalid in "official WHQL driver"?Thanks in advance! And thanks nuhi for his great job. Edited May 10, 2007 by Skraelos
nuhi
Oh so that's the driver causing so much popups. I'll try it next time and see what can be done.
efong
Oh so that's the driver causing so much popups. I'll try it next time and see what can be done. The BCDEDIT command: bcdedit -set loadoptions \"DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS" should disable driver signing integrity checks. Skraelos
Man, read my post one more time. I've already told about this command, but!Is there a way to add this BCDEDIT command into unattended install, so this command will be already applied during the installation so I won't recive all these annoying popups? Ulayo
Before installing Vista you can select some advanced boot settings. Press F8 to get these settings, and choose Disable driver integrity check. (It was awhile since I did this so the name might be wrong). Phorze
ATM i got the same issue, the driver likes to install like 40 unsigned drivers. Now , i got a fully vlited install, but i got some application installs that can't be done with vlite yet (but knowing nuhi it wont be that long before we can integrate apps again )But meanwhile i actually reopen the installation with WAIK, and slap in a sysprep session....So my idea is, not using the inf driver integration method, but adding a silent install to sysprep and putting in the BCDEDIT command before it and forcing a reboot. It might work, ill check back with the results.I think i read somewhere else it's possible with a regtweak too. I'll see.

dexter.inside
It might be useful for you to know that the BCD store is a registry hive, add that option by loading it in registry
Innocent Devil
manipulating BCD can be done without vista toofrom XP with bcdedit, any bcd store can be edited
