zuky
Hello, I've been building a XP slipstream CD including Hotfixes, Drivers and various application. I've followed the instruction on the site and put my $EOM$ folder next to the I386 folder. And in the installation process the $EOM$ folder and its content does NOT copy over to my local HD. I did tweak my winnt.sif file accordingly. I even played around with it to try an make it work such as moving the $EOM$ folder in the i386 folder and tweaking the winnt.sif file accordingly. I still cannot make this folder copy over? Feel like if i'm going crazy! Here is a copy of my current winnt.sif file, take note that my $EOM$ folder is currently sitting next to my i386 folder):;SetupMgrTag[Data]AutoPartition=1MsDosInitiated="0"UnattendedInstall="Yes"[unattended]UnattendMode=FullUnattendedOemSkipEula=YesOemPreinstall=YesTargetPath=\WINDOWSRepartition=YesUnattendSwitch="Yes"WaitForReboot="No"DriverSigningPolicy=IgnoreAutoActivate=YesOemFilesPath=".\$EOM$"Hibernation=yes[systemFileProtection]SFCQuota=0[GuiUnattended]AdminPassword=*EncryptedAdminPassword=NoOEMSkipRegional=1TimeZone=35OemSkipWelcome=1AutoLogon=YesAutoLogonCount=1[userData]ProductID=FullName=""OrgName=""ComputerName=[Display]BitsPerPel=32Xresolution=1024YResolution=768Vrefresh=85[RegionalSettings]LanguageGroup=1[identification]JoinWorkgroup=[Networking]InstallDefaultComponents=Yes[TerminalServices]AllowConnections=1[branding]BrandIEUsingUnattended=YesHome_Page=[Components]msmsgs=onmsnexplr=off freecell=onhearts=onminesweeper=onpinball=onsolitaire=onspider=onzonegames=off[shell]DefaultStartPanelOff=YesDefaultThemesOff=Yes[GuiRunOnce]%systemdrive%\install\main_batch.cmd%systemdrive%\install\hotfixes.cmd%systemdrive%\install\applications.cmdCan anyone help me out? flyakite
Whoa whoa whoa..... doesOemFilesPath=".\$OEM$"truly control the path of the $OEM$ folder? If so, could I technically put my $OEM$ folder on a second cd, and use OemFilesPath= "%cdrom2%\$OEM$", and just have the boot disk in the first drive and the OEM disk in the second drive? This would save hassle with with webmedics method, in which you have to run commands to copy things over, and you'd have to add commands to get the $$ crap to copy over as well. zuky
lol sure not[unattended]UnattendMode=FullUnattendedOemSkipEula=YesOemPreinstall=YesTargetPath=\WINDOWSRepartition=YesUnattendSwitch="Yes"WaitForReboot="No"DriverSigningPolicy=IgnoreAutoActivate=YesOemFilesPath=".\$EOM$"Hibernation=yesu have eyes? EOM isn right but u should delete this line..u dont need itAs per MS WinXP Preinstallation Reference: The OemFilesPath specifies the path to the \$OEM$ folder (containing OEM files) if it does not exist under the i386 folder of the distribution share point(in this case my CD). In any case I tried the installation by omiting that line and the folder structur still did NOT copy over to the HD in the installation process.I know the basic rules that $EOM$ folder inside the I386 folder = no application installation and $EOM$ folder outside the I386 folder = application installation. But where ever I put the folder or whatever I put in my winnt.sif file, the folder structure does not want to copy over.So that is not the solution. I mean what is in the winnt.sif tells setup to copy over that folder structur? Or is there something that tells setup do delete the folder structure befor the GUIRunonce has a chance to run?I'm really busting my brain to figure this out and i'm at a point that I desperatly need help.... even after I read about those folks that successfully made an unattended XP CD. GRRRR Anyone else care to take a shot?
ps2rules27
You should make it $OEM$ not $EOM$
