Dunno if I'm just stupid, but where the value in the raid/sata part of the unattended guide sets the [sCSI] value at:

[sCSI]

si3112 = "Silicon Image SiI 3112 SATALink Controller"

...the nearest thing I could find in the txtsetup.oem file was: VIARAID_MULTIPLE_XP = "VIA RAID Controller(Windows XP)". So, if I've been referring to "viamraid.sys", can I state: viamraid = "VIA RAID Controller(Windows XP)"? I've been up and down the .oem file and I can't see anything about viamraid = "whatever". What to do?

All help appreciated.

What inside the quotes is nothing more than a friendly description. What is in front should be the same as what is after the equal sign in the HardwareIdsDatabase section, and before the equal sign in the SCSI.Load section.

I normally use the description value from the Disks section of the txtsetup.oem file. So from the intel driver I used "Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver"

[Disks]

disk1 = "Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver", iaStor.sys, \
