alot of things may cause such problem

but i tell you to do two steps may help you

go to RUN

type : temp

press ok

a folder will open delete all temorary files because it makes your browsing slow.

second, go to run

type : prefetch

also delete all files in this folder ,

you may make your pc run faster by going to

my computer properties > advanced tape > in the preformance section click sittings> choose adjust for best performance or manually choose the last 4 boxes .

try this steps

there is more but tell me what will happen with you.

good luck

Thanks, sofolo.

I am trying your first two suggestions on cleaning up

the temp and prefetch folders.

As for the performance setting, I've currently chosen

"let windows decide what's best for this computer."

And, I'll follow up on the results.

By the way, this browser loading issue has come up on

a freshly XP installed computer, and I have already tried

disk clean up and defragmentation.

[follow up]

Well, after using the computer for a while (~ a day),

I'm noticing frequent slowness or loading failures again.

Basically, as that happens, I just reload the page.

So, I'm curious what's causing this behavior. Could this

be due to some improper browser settings or poor hard

drive quality?

Thanks.

What browser are you talking about here? If it's IE, are you running IE7? Upgrading from IE6 to IE7 actually ironed out some bugs my friends had on their computers.

Is it just the browser that loads slowly, or other programs as well? If it's other programs, then it's not just the browser.
