Panarchy
I already have things that emulate the other things, but WindowsBlinds doesn't have any themes that make it look like aero...
eggie
I think there is also a registry hack that you can use in order to force aero to run, you may however need to search the forums to find the hack that you want.
fizban2
registry hack doesn't work anymore, if you want aero on, you will need to have a video card that can handle aero, no way to make it emulated, there are apps out there that can give you a glass appereance but most seem to work only on XP. eggie
How come it won't work anymore has MS disabled it somehow?
war59312
Was a feature, and it was removed, was meant for testing only by private and TAP beta testers. Edited April 27, 2007 by war59312
cluberti
How come it won't work anymore has MS disabled it somehow? It was only meant for developers and testers to run Aero on non-compliant hardware for testing. Generally, if Aero won't enable on your card, it's because it's GPU or RAM just isn't up to the challenge of hosting DWM (and I do mean challenge). Anyone who ran forced Aero on Beta and RC builds with old video cards can probably attest to this.
