sonnet Posted April 13, 2007 Share Posted April 13, 2007 Hi ,I have a problem on a machine where I have installed 4GB .If I select "System properties", the system only "see" 2.93 GB, it appears something like this:Computer:Intel ®Core 2 CPU6300 @ 1.86 GHZ2.93 GB of RAMPhysical Address ExtensionEven from task manager is the same.But as you see on system properties Physical Address Extension seems to be activated.The OS is Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, with service pack 2 installed.Dopes anyone knwos what the problem is? cluberti Posted April 15, 2007 Share Posted April 15, 2007 You really need to see what msinfo32 reports, as it's probably going to be close to 4GB of RAM. If that ends up being the case, you may have to disable features in the BIOS or remove some of your add-in cards to get some of that RAM back. Otherwise, yes, removing video cards and other add-in cards can increase the RAM you can use. Building an nLited server? Really? (/surprise) -- for test use only, right?
