IE 7 and windows 2000

Recommended Posts

Does windows 2000 support IE 7? If so can IE 6 core be ripped out and IE 7 be installed on top. Will it be stable? Will add/remove work properly?

No IE7 for Windows 2000, (Officially announced by MS) however, Firefox seems work fine at

my win2k system.

The photo loading of Firefox clearly slower than IE6, get you a big X before the photo shows.

Not like IE6, freezing up during the launch, and show photos all at once later.

Since i intend to stay put at Win2K for next several years, now i am actively seeking replacement.

Miranda messenger may be a good replacement to MSN messenger. ^__^

Enable HTTP pipelining. That will make photo loading faster. Easily by 3 seconds!

By:

Typing "about:config" then look for:

network.http.pipelining

Then change the "false" to "true" then close Firefox and reopen Firefox.
