Steam Trout
I searched high and low and found out only switches for Pro edition. When I use /S or /SILENT or Personal edition MSI switch description pops up. Using /s /v"/qn doesn't help either.
Shark007
It doesnt require installation. You can package up the installed directory from a working machineinto a selfextracting archive and create your own installer. You could also occassionally update the def file to keep it current.shark
Steam Trout
Oh, that's even better. Thanks for the tip.
beeker
I wish I'd seen Shark's tip sooner.I extracted the msi out of the exe and then extracted the msi to update the defs.ref file and repackaged it that way.A packaged installer will list Ad-Aware in the "Add/Remove" program list.I had already scripted the msi modification using AutoIt, but only got around to posting recently at the AutoIt Script Collection.Oh well. The procedure is there if you want it. (might be a handy procedure for other apps in the future)
