I ran through this guide and finished it with almost complete success. I don't really notice a difference in the time it takes to install xp. I notice a huge size difference like gosh says. Its like around 350 megs. Gosh if you're seein' this...how long did it take for u to install xp with this rapid install copy?

VOL folders should be on the root of cd.

I don't think i ever talked about my 2nd menu. My cd also had 10 boot images, such as drive image and norton ghost. You can easily create an .ima file using Winimage.

i followed the first page instructions (exept the bootfix thing, cause i can't find it) i burned the cd.

the problem is, that when the blue screen setup comes up, it asks me to put windows xp profesional sp1 disk into drive A...

-zero-: it's a cd ident issue. Make sure the root of the cd has the cd ident files - spnotes.htm, win51,win51ip,etc. My Guide does work, so you must have missed something.

OUCH!

i had put em in the i386 folder... what an id***...

is it necesary to use tje cdimage.exe to make the the .ISO?

or can i use nero to burn the cd just like i used to ? (using the xpboot.bin as boot file)

also, where can i get the bootfix.bin?

thx

really? thx :)

what about nero? i'll try with a re-writable cd now, i don0t want to waste another cd-r, and with the .iso method, it tells me i have to finalise my cdwr, and i'm not sure, but i think that would turn it like a cr-r and not be rewritable anymore.

Why not use cdimage? You just type a command for cdimage then youre done. I don't see why people think typing one command is harder than going through nero and configuring everything.
