I think you will have to live with a Vista-like IE7 forever, that is, I'm seriously thinking in removing support for IE till I can find a proper way to xpize it. It's giving many problems (except in my virtual machine  ).

It is a solution.

While keeping IE6...

As far as I'm concerned it didn't give me any problems (I'm using Internet Explorer 7 Portuguese).

@XPero My advice is that you uncheck the IE7 XPize option by default and let users use it at their own risk (with a proper warning), but don't remove it completely.

I also noticed that after XPizing, my WMV files remained with the vista-like icon that came with Windows Media Player 11. Have you included it (ie, the XP WMV10 icon)?

Another thing I noticed is that IE7 doesn't support CDF files anymore, so it cut off the file association. Because of it, can you make XPize to associate the proper icon to CDF files again, for legacy reasons?

Not finished. It destroyed my XP install.

I uninstalled the previous version. Installed the new version. I didn't install most of the extra's and the Remote Desktop stuff. After that, IE7 stopped working. Just errors. Wanted to go back to the restore point, no restore point to be found. Uninstalled XPize. After that, XP wouldn't boot anymore.

And now Windows Setup is making a complete mess of things as well. This pretty much sucks.

Im afraid the same thing has happend to me, Ie7 Messed up and crahesed constantly, now Explorer is slugish and slow :(

Are you doing a normal install or integration?

I did a normal installation.

To make matters worse, after uninstalling, not only did XP not boot, my harddisk appeared to be defective. Couldn't even format it anymore. And of course, my warranty expired 1 week ago....
