Joe K
When I installed my external hd it displayed the file names in blue so it was easy to keep track of which drive the folder was on. I did a clean install now all files are displayed in black text. Is there a setting to change this? I haven't found anything on it in my searches.Joe
TravisO
My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > "Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color" (3rd option from the bottom).Realize the files aren't colored because it's external, it's colored because they are compressed or encrypted. Considering you did a clean install, which would have caused you to loose access to encrypted files, I'm guessing the files are encrypted to increase space.
