SwedenXP
Want to try redirecting the "Documents and Settings" folder to a virtual D: (drive).Have only one PC so I use Virtual PC or Vmware - and I have some "small" problems...In the setup of XP I have a possibility of deciding how my (virtual) harddrive should be partitioned - fine I create 2 partitions - But I can only format one - the one to install XP on.And the installation + winnt.sif and main_batch.cmd requires 2 (both C and D).So - the installation is terminated. If anyone has a creative suggestion - please do not hesitate.Thanx in advance/ SwedenXP
gamehead200
Have you tried using a Windows 98 boot disk to partition the drive? Then you can decide which partition to format...

Numinous
im guessing you'll need a multi boot cd with xp setup and a partition manager on it.. see my cdshell topic ..thisll let you format both partitions before xp setup.. should work in a virtual pc too

SwedenXP
Jono, that is truely cool But I downloaded a bootdisk, partitioned and formatted the virtual disk. I am most grateful that I have not forgotten all old DOS trix So now I am up and trying again. This time with the latest version of VMware Workstation which is a new release and it looks great and fast!/ SwedenXP
