Judas989 Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 I used a reg-tweak to change the desktop wallpaper position and now it's locked and I can't change it. Does anyone know how to fix this? The position drop-down box is locked and grayed out. Any help will be much appreciated.
gosh Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 The reg key is HKCU\Desktop and HKDU\Desktop. There is a bug in xp that converts the wallpaper wrong. If you want to make the wallpaper a .bmp, xp actually converts it to a .bmp. The bug results in a .jpg not being converted to a .bmp, which means your wallpaper won't show up right. Make sure you're using a .bmp for wallpaper, and check those 2 registry keys.-gosh
