sscoop
is there any way to create a windows vista user profile on top of an existing profile. ex. user name is myUser and has never been logged in thus not having any folder in C:\Users. i manualy create or use an existing folder named myUser which i copy to C:\User. i logg off an when i log on with myUser he gets the settings from that folder thus not creating another profile folder named myUser.computername.thanks
Mordac85
Nope, it doesn't work that way. If you want to pre-define profile settings I would recommend creating a local account and login with that account. Once you have everything set reboot (to release any clinging file locks) and log in w/an admin account. Copy that profile (from the User Profiles section on the Advanced tab in System Properties) to C:\Users\Default and use Everyone for 'Permitted to use' and now all new logins will get the modified profile.
