ATI Radeon 9550 causes bluescreen

I've recently installed Windows Vista Ultimate (final)

and everything's working fine except that after some time, when windows is completely started up,

a bluescreen appears and windows restarts.

After restarting I get this error message:

STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)

I looked up the KBID on msdn, but nothing helped me any further.

Is anyone experiencing this problem too?

It seems to have something to do with my hardware acceleration, but I can't find when I can decrease it (I can't do it in Control Panel)

System Information

------------------

System Manufacturer: NVIDIA

System Model: AWRDACPI

BIOS: )Phoenix - Award WorkstationBIOS v6.00PG

Processor: AMD Sempron Processor 3000+, ~1.0GHz

Memory: 1022MB RAM

Page File: 233MB used, 2067MB available

Windows Dir: C:\Windows

DirectX Version: DirectX 10

I have a RADEON 9550, and installed ATI Catalyst Control Center, which should contain the correct drivers for my video card.

Any help is welcome!

Have you opened the crashdump in a debugger to see what the debugger thinks the problem is? The crashdump should be c:\windows\minidump*.dmp --- compress it, then attach it to a post here and I can look at it if you like.

Apparently, you also have another problem. You're at 1.0 Ghz! Your processor apparently is underclocked.

You're gonna have to go in to the BIOS and check the frequencies.
