cluberti
Since Vista technically RTMs tomorrow, expect driver updates for lots of hardware to release in the (very) near future.

BoardBabe
Excellent. Any idea how to remove the shell extension to "ATI CATALYST® Control Center"?
mistme
anyone one if there is anyway to get my X800XL accelerating mpeg2 files again. I use poiwerDVD and although the program still acknoleges that it has the potential to use hardware acceleration, as soon as it opens a file the option uncheacks and greys out. ( and the video wont play smoothly enough on my CPU)I was hoping that these drivers would fix it but unfortunatly they havent. Is there something eles I need to do which anyone knows of, or is it just a case of waiting for a fully functional Driver release.
cluberti
Which version of PowerDVD do you have? I believe they were planning on releasing an update or a new version for Vista, if memory serves.
cluberti
Excellent. Any idea how to remove the shell extension to "ATI CATALYST® Control Center"?I'd uninstall that right away via the installer (should have remove capabilities as an MSI package). Getting the ATI HotKey poller service off of your box is reason enough not to install it in the first place .
BoardBabe
Well I simply removed the services from startup through msconfig and then I have it available if its needed -It will probably never be needed though, but you are right one could choose to not install/uninstall it.
