Xenofur
Morning,i tried searching for this, but the search came up empty on WMV, so i'll have to make my own topic. A while ago i made an nlite version of my winxp (no sp) cd which also had a removed WMP. The original disc has meanwhile been destroyed thanks to a family member that thought it'd be a good idea to park a cactus on top of it.I didn't think i'd have many problems, until i realized by use in practise: I can't install ANY WMV codecs without WMP being present, nor can in install any WMP version. (Claims to be incompatible with this version.)So, do any of you have any idea how i could reimplant WMP or force-install wmv codecs?
Shoshoni
Have you been able to determine which file version(s) you have installed? If so, you can download the installer and do a recovery install.Or try modified codec packs.
Xenofur
Have you been able to determine which file version(s) you have installed?Of what exactly? The whole reason i'm asking is that i don't have soemthing installed, not the other way around. ^^If so, you can download the installer and do a recovery install.Of windows? Or try modified codec packs.Already tried k-lite mega pack and ffdshow.
Jeremy
Try this and then attempt playback with FFDShow and another media player such as Media Player Classic. This problem has been troubleshooted to death on the forum before.
